The Weekend Film Appreciation Course is a great way to take your love for cinema to the next level. You will learn how to understand movies, how to place them in a context- both historical and structural, and how to look beyond the story and actors in a movie. You will learn this by analysing different films- short fiction films, documentaries and feature films. You will get to see classics from across the globe as well as a few contemporary films, where you can interact with the filmmakers.

As this is a weekend course, you can continue with your job and other commitments while learning more about cinema. You will get to understand the diverse elements that come together to make cinema, how the masters of cinema integrated these elements in their work to create the language of cinema. The documentaries will open your minds to new realities, while the fiction works will enhance your worldview.

In short, its a not to be missed course, a rare opportunity to learn with FTII's own faculty at the historical campus of FTII Pune.
